How to check or change your home page

If your home page - the page that first displays in your web browser when you are connected to the Internet - has changed or you would like to make it something other than what it currently is, you can perform the following steps to make the homepage any website (URL) you would like. We recommend setting your home page to http://my. Forepaugh ISP.net so you have quick access to manage your account and use our online support. However, should you wish to change the home page (please bookmark http://my. Forepaugh ISP.net first!), follow the procedure below:

Macintosh OS X

  1. Select menu item: Apple Menu > System Preferences.
  2. Click on the Show All icon to ensure all preferences are visible.
  3. Single click on the Internet icon.
  4. Select the Web tab.
  5. Enter your preferred home page in the "Home Page" box. For example, http://my. Forepaugh ISP.net.
  6. Quit the System Preferences application by selecting menu item: System Prefs > Quit System Prefs.

Macintosh OS 8.5-9.1

  1. Select Apple Menu > Control Panel > Internet
  2. Click on the 'Web' Tab
  3. Enter your preferred home page in the "Home Page" box. For example, http://my. Forepaugh ISP.net
  4. Close the window, and when prompted, Click "Save" To save the changes..

Windows XP, 2000, ME, 98, & NT

Internet Explorer 5 and up

  1. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and double click "Internet Options" -OR- open Internet Explorer and click the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options".
  2. Enter your preferred home page in the "Address" field at the top of the "General" tab. For example, http://my. Forepaugh ISP.net
  3. Click "Apply" then click "OK".

Netscape 4.x and up

  1. Open Netscape. Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click the [+] to the left of "Navigator" to expand the selection.
  3. Enter your preferred home page in the "Location" field on the right pane. For example, http://my. Forepaugh ISP.net
  4. Click "OK".

Include the name and version of your operating system and the exact text of all error messages. If this information is included in an online case submission or provided to a support representative, it will greatly speed up the troubleshooting process.

Please be aware that some troubleshooting may require uninstallation and reinstallation of operating system files. To ensure that this type of troubleshooting can be accomplished if required, please be sure that you have to have original Operating System CD or Operating system source files on disk on hand.
